It is my opinion, there are four words that are the driving force behind you achieving your ultimate goal and your WHY in life. These four words are the most powerful words that you can and will ever speak to yourself about any situation – “I CAN” and “I CAN’T”, or “It’s POSSIBLE” and “It’s IMPOSSIBLE”.
“CAN” is power and “CAN’T” is retreat. “POSSIBLE” is potential and “IMPOSSIBLE” is no expectation.

You have the power to decide if you wish to ACHIEVE or RETREAT, live for the possible or live with no expectation. because when you speak victory words such as “I CAN” and possible, you will attain whatever you set out to do regardless of what others are saying to you.
There are many famous entrepreneurs in the world and I can guarantee you that if you spoke with each of them individually, they would tell you that in the beginning of their journey the majority of people told them —-you “CAN’T” do that, it is “IMPOSSIBLE!”
Fortunately, these highly successful entrepreneurs disregarded this advice and listened to their inner voice that said, “Yes I CAN, it is POSSIBLE!”
The key in life is to realize the most important person who speaks to you every day is you – on the inside! You need to review your WHY in Life and see if you are on track toward achieving your WHY, or are you on a detour because someone told you, “You CAN’T, it’s not possible to do that so stop dreaming!” If the latter is you, you need to speak to your inner person and say to yourself, “Today I will take another productive stride!”
Every day for 5 decades plus, each morning, I visualized myself crossing off another CAN and CAN’T on my list. Even today, my personal outcome for each day is to build a community of people who we can inspire and motivate. I have to admit if it was not for my inner person saying, “Chuck you CAN do it! YOU CAN do it!” If he did it, then it is POSSIBLE that I can do it too.
Some days it is still difficult, but I am doing it!
I am personally very proud and appreciative of the people who have stepped up to the plate and made individual contributions of talent over the years to create interesting, important contributions to radio communications, and in these last few years, to the many who have helped those trying to move ahead in a new, digital world.
All of these people have and are dreaming of being somebody special, somebody big. Who hasn’t fantasized about being the one who hits the game-winning homer? Who hasn’t dreamed of being the homecoming queen? And how many times have we dreamed of being rich, or successful, or happy with our relationships?
Often, we dream big dreams and have great aspirations. Unfortunately, our dreams remain just that – dreams. And our aspirations easily collect dust in our attic. This is a sad turn of events in our life. Instead of experiencing exciting adventures in self actualization, we get caught up in the humdrum of living from day-to-day just barely existing.
But you know what? Life could be so much better, if only we learned to aim higher.
The most common problem to setting goals is the word impossible. Most people get hung up thinking I can’t do this. It’s too hard. It’s too impossible. No one can do this.
If everyone thought that, there would be no inventions, no innovations, and no breakthroughs in human accomplishment.
You know the story of the bumblebee. Scientists have studied the bee and have stated over and over again, it is impossible for the bumblebee to fly. Fortunately for the bumblebee no one has told them, so fly they do.
On the other hand, some people suffer from dreaming totally outrageous dreams and not acting on them. The result? Broken dreams, and tattered aspirations.
If you limit yourself with self-doubt, and self-limiting assumptions, you will never be able to break past what you deem impossible. If you reach too far out into the sky without working towards your goal, you will find yourself clinging on to the impossible dream.
Try this exercise. On a piece of paper write down some goals in your life. Under the heading ‘you know you can do’ list some goals. Under the second heading, ‘you might be able to do’, write the things that you want to try to do. And under a third heading, list the things that that are ‘impossible for you to do.’
Now look at all the headers and strive every day to accomplish the goals that are under things ‘you know you can do’. Check them when you’ve accomplished them. As you slowly are able to check all of your goals under that heading, try accomplishing the goals under the other header-the one that reads ‘you might be able to do.’
Once completed, you will move to the third column, the thing’s you CAN’T accomplish.
As you iterate through this process, you will find out that the goals you thought were impossible become easier to accomplish.
The impossible begin to seem possible after all.
You see, the technique here is not to limit your imagination. It is to aim high, and start working towards that goal little by little. However, it also is unwise to set a goal that is truly unrealistic.
Those who just dream towards a goal without working hard, end up disappointed and disillusioned.
If you told someone a hundred years ago that it was possible for man to fly to the moon, they would laugh at you, or worse yet – burn you at the stake. If you had told them that you could send mail from here to the other side of the world in a few seconds, they would say you were out of your mind. But, through sheer desire and perseverance, these impossible dreams are now realities.
Thomas Edison once said that genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Nothing could be truer. For you to accomplish your dreams, there has to be hard work and discipline. But take note that that 1% has to be a think-big dream, and not some easily accomplished one.
Ask any gym rat and he or she will tell you that there can be no gains unless you are put out of your comfort zone. Remember the saying, “No pain, no gain”? That is as true as it can be.
So dream on, friend! Don’t get caught up with your perceived limitations. Think big and work hard to attain those dreams. As you step up the ladder of progress, you will just about find out that the impossible has just become a bit more possible.

The difference between the two tag types – meta tags and tags – is arbitrary. The syntax for an HTML meta tag contains the word “meta” while “meta tag” doesn’t necessarily have to have the word “meta” in it.
The important part to remember is that they both serve the same purpose.
They are used to provide search engines with information about a web page
Header tags are NOT meta tags, and they describe just one element of a page, not the contents of a page as a whole. However, ensuring you’re optimizing your header tags will help users and search engines understand what your content is about.
The Tag “Hreflang”
The Hreflang isn’t technically a tag, it’s an important attribute. An attribute that can help tell Google which language you’re content is using on a webpage. It’s used to show the language of the page and the territory that you serve with the page.

Another very important tag is the canonical tag. Set it up incorrectly and risk losing visibility in the SERPs. Used correctly and it’s a great way of telling search engines that a webpage URL is the defacto version. It’s the best way to avoid duplicate content issues on your site, caused by search engines crawling multiple URLs that contain the same or close to identical content on them.
In general, if a search engine finds multiple URLs with identical content, it’ll have a harder job determining which is the original and which is the duplicate. This leads to lower rankings for both pages of content, or worse, the important page won’t rank.

Content type tag
The content type tag is used for defining the page content type and the character set it uses. Using this helps your browser understand and decode a page.

One most recognizable tags for anyone carrying out SEO work is the title tag which is used to specify what the web page is about, and importantly is used by search engines to generate the results in the SERPs.
From an SEO perspective, optimizing your title tag to contain topics/keywords information about the contents on the page can help to improve your rankings for those topics/keywords. Currently you can expect Google to display between 50-60 characters of your title before it’s truncated, so keep an eye on length when writing these.

Meta description tag
Similar to the title tag, the meta description tag is well known and provides you with an opportunity to tell search engines and users in the SERPs what your webpage content is about. While not a direct ranking factor, you should optimize your meta description to provide a compelling succinct account of your web pages content.
If Google doesn’t think you’ve done a good enough job, they may choose to replace your meta description tag with their own interpretation, often using content from the opening few paragraphs of your site.

The viewport tag is a useful tag for helping browsers understand and control the dimensions of your web page.
In the past, there was no need for this tag as everyone viewed webpages on desktop on similar sized displays, but with the rise of mobile and tablet usage, many of which have different dimensions, it’s now more important to ensure that you’re telling the browser this information.
Correct implementation of the viewport tag will ensure that users experience your site in the correct way.

Robots meta tags
There’s a large number of robot meta tags you can use, all of which will help search engine crawlers do their job of crawling and indexing web pages across the internet. Not all search engines will follow all commands, but here are a few examples of robot meta tags and what they are asking the crawlers to do:
Nofollow Tells crawlers not to follow any of the links listed on that page, and also not to pass any equity to linked page
Noindex Tells crawlers not to index that page
Noimageindex Tells crawlers not to index images from that page
Noarchive Tells crawlers not to include a cached version

Open graph (OG) meta tags for social
The OG meta tags for social. While less a direct focus for SEO, ensuring you have correctly implemented OG meta tags for social can help ensure your content looks great when it’s shared, which helps to improve engagement with posts and increase traffic.

Which do you use?
in 98% of your writing, you are attempting to create conversions. It may be selling and idea, or a product or service. You are trying to “convert” the reader (or listener or viewer) to an “action”.
The “word trick” that helps you most to increase conversions is to eliminate passive voice. Studies show this to be true and for decades I’ve depended on advertising that “sells” and announcers who between records create reactions. So I know it works.
Eliminate your passive voice!
Of course you have to recognize, in your writing, what is passive and which is active. “Passive voice is when the subject of the article (or even the sentence) receives the “action”. The subject is not active.
“Active voice means that the subject is doing the action.”
This Zimmer car is recommended by rich lawyers, or rich lawyers recommend the Zimmer car.
The first example is passive voice and the second is active voice. The recommended is happening to the lawyers, while in the second example the lawyers are actually doing the action – recommending. Subtle but far more effective in the active voice when trying to market your product or service.
Write as you would normally first, then go over your copy looking for passive voice indicators. Then think about how you can rewite them in an active style. Passive voice phrases can include a subject followed by is, was, am or are; and buy the.
Another thing to look out for is indirect writing as opposed to direct writing. A limo like this is just what you need, while direct would you you need this limo.
Eliminate Long-winded Sentences
Another no-no is long-winded sentences. Keep your sentences brief. A passive long-winded sentence would be – Limousine are loved by automobile fans of all ages and genders. The active version would be – all limo fans love Mauck limos.
No confusion or vagueness
Stay away from confusing writing. A passive example – the yacht you will buy will let you travel at 40 knots while sitting in opulent leather seats. The active example would be – You can travel at 40 knots an hour in comfort in a this yacht.
Vague subjects versus precise. Passive might be – one should always buy an white car. The active alternative is – You should buy an white car. This is aiming for clarity and getting the point across quickly and directly.
In any content where you are attempting to make a direct, or indirect sale (a product or an idea), you should almost always be writing in an active voice. Remember this rule – ABC (always be closing). Writing in an active voice is a simple way to achieve a better closing or conversion rate.
When blogging, tell your visitors how long it takes to read your article, watch or listen to your blog post. This adds another “really?” to the readers curiosity factor and is proven to increase their engagement. 300 words read in a minute is average, so it’s pretty easy to provide the read time. Also be sure that your “share” information is custom written so your “shares” aren’t canned and thus ignored.
Great content consists of bringing your ideas to life, while entertaining. It’s part of the “story” ingredient. Your readership will grow as will your search results.

Success isn’t a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire.
This really is a great quote. Not only is it interesting but also inspiring.
One of the truths that I find most frustrating as a coach is that many people believe that success, in whatever field of endeavor they are currently striving, is rather like winning the lottery. In fact, it certainly seems from the evidence that they in fact believe that success is even more random because they aren’t even buying a ticket. They are simply passively waiting.
If you listen to people talk you won’t hear many people voicing this opinion of success but look around you and watch what people are actually doing–or rather not doing–and you will quickly see what I mean.
Many people want things–they want to be rich, they want to be at the top of their profession, they want a successful marriage, they want to raise great kids, they want to be respected in their community, and so on.
But what do they do to achieve this success?
Are they working both hard and smart toward their financial goals and living frugally while they do so? Are they constantly learning and striving at their job? Are they showing their spouse love, consideration, understanding, and generosity? Are they spending time with their children both modeling how to be a good person and being generous with their love and understanding? Are they regularly proving themselves an asset within their community by being a good neighbor in every sense of the word?
We all know that we must accomplish these tasks to achieve success in these areas. I’ve probably missed something too. I am hardly a model of success in every area. I would in fact describe myself as fair to middling. I am certainly not rich but the bills get paid and our basics and then some are covered without too much stress. I’m now retired, but my former boss, peers, and subordinates think I am doing a pretty good job as well as I kept getting promoted. While my marriage is in fairly good shape, after 50+ years, but I know I could certainly put more into it. I think I have a great kids, grand kids and great-grand kids.
At the tender age of 18, after graduating from high school, I went to work in radio as an announcer. Commercial radio was 35 years old. Television? Nope. Internet? Double Nope! Radio was it and I decided to set myself on fire and become a success in the business.
Who could have imagined. Not my parents, not my teachers, not even my friends. But I was on fire and for 14 years I played the new music of the age – rock ‘n’ roll. Then I moved into management working up from the bottom and over 10 years went from rock ‘n’ roll disc-jockey to CEO of some of the largest and most interesting broadcast properties.
Why, fire in the belly and passion. I personally was proof that anyone could achieve success and the trappings that come with it.
How do YOU define success?
Is it money, career, love, marriage, family, friendship, respect, community?
For me, success is primarily about love. How many lives do I touch with mine? How many hearts? Who has been changed by my existence in a postive way? I hope that people judge me as a good person and that if I died tomorrow that there would be great mourning.
If we really want this success then we will set ourselves on fire. We won’t wait for spontaneous combustion.

Joachim DePosada said this and I found it on the The Gary Halbert Letter web site:, it struck such a huge cord. It made such immediate sense to me. The more I looked the more I realized that our lives were built around this statement. What about yours?
Go back to when you started to learn to drive. That very first time, you pressed your foot down on the throttle. The engine screamed. You lifted your left foot off the clutch with such panache, and you hurled forward with such velocity, you would have beaten anything animal or human.
Can you drive now?
Or how about the time your Dad told you you could drive the boat. You grabbed the wheel and damn near sank on your first turn. But you corrected, gathered your thoughts and remembered which side was port and which was starboard.
Can you drive a boat now?
I rest my case:
Anything that’s worth doing, is worth doing poorly.
Do you remember the first time you played tennis? Did you really get the serve right first time? Or did you carefully throw the ball in the air throw the racket and miss!!! What about now? Was it worth doing it poorly the first time around?
What happened the first time you strode up with your bucket of balls on the driving range? You put the ball down and swung perfectly and hit it for what 500 yards?????? Or, did you:
- miss it completely,
- follow through and fall over
- take out a good portion of the matting or grass with the shot
- hit it with such force it managed a few yards and stopped.
What is all this about?
Reminding yourself that…
Whenever you do something you haven’t done before.
Whenever, you make effort to break an old habit.
Whenever you are going to do something that is worth doing.
The odds are you are going to do it badly.
Don’t give in. You are normal. Don’t listen to that critical voice inside your head that says, “It’s no good. I can’t do it. I will never, ever try again”.
Listen instead to the powerful, self confirming voice that says,
“It’s OK. Remember. Anything that’s worth doing, is worth doing poorly”
So, whether your aim is to give up smoking… diet to lose weight or gain … stop drinking … change your job, learn a language, build a business, be better on-air, a better speaker or writer or whatever it is, accept that you are going to do it poorly at first. Then gradually with practice you will get better and better.
It takes effort to improve yourself. It takes effort to become the best sales person in town. It takes effort to build a successful business. It takes effort to lose weight. It takes effort to follow your dream.
But. If you want to improve yourself! ……..If you want to learn a new skill…….. There is only one way to start … Overcome your need to be right first time and keep practicing.
So whatever you want to do. Whatever you dream of being! Whatever you see yourself doing in five years time. It all starts with making a fool of yourself now. So you might as well get on with it. Go on, go for your dream!

I decided to check out other works by Joachim DePosada who was a motivational speaker from Puerto Rico. First let’s define what “mobile” means to Google.
Mobile in essence is a smartphone. Not your laptop, notebook, or even tablet or iPad. It’s your phone, your smartphone. If you develop websites or even just blog, MOBILE FIRST should be in front of you at all times.
Google’s own definition is – “Mobile: In this document, “mobile” or mobile devices refers to smartphones, such as devices running Android, iPhone, or Windows Phone. Mobile browsers are similar to desktop browsers in that they can render a broad set of the HTML5 specification, although their screen size is smaller and in almost all cases their default orientation is vertical.”
Knowing this is important when building your website. Because I am mostly a WordPress site developer, I don’t concern myself with the coding. I leave that to WordPress and my theme. So be sure to use a fully responsive theme. Check it out on a smartphone before you commit a lot of time to developing your site with a particular theme. Make sure it’s considered a good mobile theme.

I live in Niagara Falls, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world and needless to say, there are a lot of businesses here that need mobile friendly websites. Restaurants, hotels, tour operators and the like. As I was writing this post I decided to do a random check of these local businesses to see if they’ve got mobile friendly websites.
Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but at least 50% of the 100 sites I checked are not mobile friendly. Wow, there’s absolutely no excuse, and none of these businesses should be complaining about their poor business.
Their Website Is The Most Important Asset They have!
OK, let’s understand what Google is doing with Mobile-First Indexing.
Google is basing what it places in the index based on the mobile version of your site. They used to index the desktop version of your site first.
Google is looking at the mobile version of your website first and using that information for the search results.
This switch was made because more and more searches come from a mobile device and to give those users a better experience, Google decided that it was time to prioritize mobile results.
Also, and remember this – that the mobile-first index is not a separate index, Google has only one index from which it serves the results. Thus, mobile is the most important.
You will see in your Google Search Console when Google indexed your site “mobile first” This means that Google will determine by the content available on your mobile site how you will rank — both on the desktop and on mobile. This is really important, especially if you have both a mobile site and a standard site. But most WordPress sites are responsive, so both mobile and desktop are identical content so you have nothing to worry about.
You do not have to have a mobile site to be in the mobile-first indexing, as Google is indexing sites as well. However, it’ll be hard to rank if your site is not mobile friendly.
Write for mobile!
Remember, reading from a screen is hard and from a mobile screen is even harder. To attract a mobile audience, you’ll need to have mobile-friendly copy. This means short sentences and compact paragraphs. You need to make sure your font on your mobile site is large and clear and make sure to use enough whitespaces.
No doubt some of the content writing rules have changed. Go through your current site and make sure your site is mobile friendly visually as well as being filled with quality content. Check your Google Analytics to determine where your audience is coming from, mobile or other wise. If you are a local business, or you build sites for local businesses, then for sure, mobile is first.
Things like “page speed” are even more important in mobile rendering. If the user will wait 3 seconds on a computer, they’ll only wait half that on a phone. 1.5 seconds you must be “on-screen.” Also not that according to Chrome’s developer tools, the screen dimensions for mobile are 412 x 732. For those with a little more coding experience, this could be important for your site.
Take the time to evaluate the mobile version of your website. Is your design (theme) good enough? Or could you improve? Are the buttons large enough to tap? What about your content? Could you make your text more readable for a mobile audience? Make sure your website creates a “wow” mobile experience because this will make a difference in your rankings quickly.
Who doesn’t know what these symbols stand for? Of course, Amazon, the world’s largest online store. Think of it this way. If you have a website for a company that is huge, Ford, Chev, Tide, Nike or any other, their taffic, the number of people who visit the site, is minuscule, tiny, itsy-bitsy and microscopic compared to the number of people who visit Amazon.
Remember, they are visiting a store, not a theme park or a sandy beach in the sun.
So the question is, why wouldn’t you want to be an affiliate of Amazon. Biggest store, most sales, more opportunity for you to promote to a willing and eager audience. To be frank, Amazon affiliation is a simple, but proven way to cash-in huge, period!

Just like average Internet marketers, after taking courses and reading, I start doing AdWords campaigns. I applied lots of “long tail keywords”, and results sucked!
One must learn how to interpret the theory behind those experts by testing their theory and constantly modify and made perfect it with your experience.
The truth behind “long tail keyword” is doing the “right long tail keyword”. How are we going to be sure that such long tail keyword is used by the people (prospects) to find their way to their answer?
“Research and testing”, research the market by visiting the forums, blogs, article directories and any place that is talking about your niche. Find out their wording, their problems and the process of getting the solution! Then prepare the keyword list as usual – keyword tool research. Put out the generic search terms found during the research, don’t drill into long tail keyword yet. Monitor and observe closely, find the most click through or impression keyword(s), remember to track the actual organic keyword(s) used to drive people your site (Google analytics will do the job).
Then expand your research and tested keywords into “long tail keywords”, and now you are in business! You should be able to find the gold in AdWords for your niche!
Remember to brainstorm your research through identifying the process, find the weak point and may be creating your own product to promote! This is my fastest way to PPC marketing and Niche marketing.
The most important thing in keyword research is to simulate your customer, put yourself in the customer shoes, feel like them, think like them, ask yourself what do you want, what is the problem and solution? While you are thinking, always open your keyword research tools and try to confirm there is a market every time an idea strikes you!
Google is the largest PPC marketing provider, but in terms of conversion and profitability, Yahoo search marketing and MSN AdCenter with less competitive searches probably converts sales better. Never limit yourself to one provider, always test all possibility. If Google market share is 60%, and you are not doing anything to fill up the 40% gap, you are putting money on the table!
Lastly, let me share my 3 tips to a successful marketing campaign:
1. Provides a solution to a problem, not simply get a product to fill the gaps. This will highly increase your conversion rate because of high demand. (Always remember to make your customer’s life easier, this is the key to long term success, especially when you’re trying to establish a good relationship)
2. Always keep track of your traffic, visitors’ behavior on your web site and split test your Ads, Landing page and Sales page.

Today, many of us want to pack up our jobs and be our own bosses. A feeling brought on by the massive changes in the work environment around the world. The idea of working for yourself attracts many, but the reality of making it happen stops most from trying.
In fact the vast majority of us cannot get a business off the ground due to a lack of necessary capital (money), and our natural aversion to risk.
Starting even a small business takes a fair amount of money. You need to buy or rent premises, purchase your stock and equipment and maybe pay staff. You will also have other outside expenses such as advertising, which can be substantial.
Risk is the factor that kills most businesses off. Even if you’re lucky enough to get the capital to start, nearly 90% of all small businesses fail in the first year. If yours is one of the lucky ones, you have to keep reinvesting your time and money to build up the businesses reputation. It takes time before most businesses become profitable.
Affiliate marketing involves you, working as an affiliate (a promoter) for a company. You sell either goods or services and you’re paid on how much you cause to be sold. “Cause to be sold” is an important distinction between being an affiliate and being a sales person.
In affiliate marketing there is very limited (small) costs to you, and even less of a rick. You put in the time and effort and you are rewarded accordingly.
However, running an affiliate marketing business is challenging. It isn’t a free walk in the park. It can be a passive income generator, but not without some front end work. To help those along who desire to be an affiliate marketer, but only have the minimum knowledge about it.
Another important tips. In the world of affiliate marketing there is no such thing as the perfect program or affiliate site.
Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money and work for yourself, full or part-time. The risk to you is minimal and there are small start up costs, in addition to having a computer and an Internet connection.
You can join companies like Shopify.ca or you can strike out on your own. When I started there wasn’t much choice except to strike out on your own. Although I have looked at the other “systems” out there, I remain convinced that doing it yourself give the largest rewards in the end, and much more freedom.
To become the so called Super Affiliate, you should really follow the advice of other successful affiliates. They have been through Affiliate Marketing from the ground up and know what they are talking about. One of the first pieces of advice they give is to concentrate on a niche. Don’t try to sell everything including the kitchen sink. Concentrate on one thing in the early days. Work out the best way to sell it and get going. Once you have some strategies worked out you can always expand.
You should take time to know your product and who you’re aiming it for. When you understand both well you begin to build up credibility. People will begin to trust you and what you offer. They will feel much better about giving their business over to you rather than others. This will result in higher sales revenue for you and a much stronger business.
Don’t be afraid to diversify. Start with one merchant until you get comfortable with linking and creating content, then sign up with more than one merchant. Beware of any merchant that wants you to sign up with them exclusively. By using several merchants you get much more exposure.
Keep on top of current trends in the market. Be prepared to change if you need to. The online world is continually changing. By being flexible and having a willingness to change you can make these changes work for you rather than against you. Remember, what was working last month may not be this month.
Finally, don’t give up. Most failure is because people give up way too soon. It takes time to build any business. Just keep at it. Try to do something everyday to promote your business. If you keep it up you will eventually start to see results.

Hi, my name is Chuck Camroux and online affiliate marketing is what I have done for nearly a quarter of a century. I still do it because it’s fulfilling, fun, creative and makes money.
I also teach affiliate Marketing to people who want to get in on the action. Affiliate marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting someone else’s products. You find a product you like, promote it to others and earn a commission for each sale that you make.
Affiliates can be individuals or companies. Affiliates can earn a few hundred dollars or hundreds of thousands of dollars a month.
99% of all people who go into some form of ecommerce/income generating business online, start as Affiliate Marketers. Why? Because it’s easy and costs almost nothing to start an Affiliate Marketing business.
Your job as an affiliate marketer is to promote products with the intention of convincing potential customers of the value of the merchant’s product so your readers actually end up buying it. You could have a site like the Best Damn Fishing Gear with many many products, all related to fishing, or you could have a site that promotes one product.
You have a review blog, reviewing the merchant’s products, and promoting your blog through social sites and other methods. This Is Why I’m Broke is a great example of a highly successful affiliate blog.
Without sales, there are no commissions for affiliates, and thus there would be no affiliate marketing. How transparent the affiliate is about being an affiliate is up to the affiliate. Some are and some not so much.
I don’t recommend multiple mini-sites for a bunch of reasons. It can drive you nuts keeping them all up to date and valuable. I’ve had over 300 at the same time in the past. Crazy. Sure you make money, but the return on your investment is rarely worth it. I come from the very early days of online affiliate marketing and it was just the way I learned.
However over time I came to realize that you get the best return with one or two sites, and carefully planned products that have similar relationships. Work the site with better content, better links and you’ll do much better – plus you won’t be as stressed. It’s more fun.
Generally the consumer pays no more because they came to the product through an affiliate. The commission costs are already built into the retail price. Also, there never is a cost to you to become an affiliate of a company or product. There are affiliate networks that act as an intermediary between the affiliate and the merchant. You, the affiliate, sign up through the network (i.e. linkshare.com, commissionjunction.com, etc) to one of their merchant clients.
Affiliates receive from the merchant or the network an affiliate link with a code that identifies you, the affiliate, to the merchant so they know who to credit for the sale. The merchant may also have many helpful tools for the affiliate. Banner ads, email copy, articles, etc.
The largest affiliate merchant – by far – is Amazon. As an Amazon Associate (affiliate) you can promote any product sold by Amazon. Almost anyone can sign up to Amazon and earn commissions, although you earn a smaller commission than most, Amazon has the most sales, which usually makes up for the lower commission.
So that’s how Affiliate Marketing works. Now let’s look at how you become an Affiliate Marketer.
First you need to decide in what niche, or category you want to focus on. Over time you can change or add to this, but you need to begin with a plan. Some people have a particular expertise that is needed by most consumers at different times. Let’s say you are a plumber.
You can start a review/information blog about plumbing and you review plumbing products on your blog. You talk about small items like plumbing fittings for water or a heavy duty micro blow torch for soldering. Or you get into the bigger things like sinks, toilets, bathtubs, even swimming pools.
So you decide that’s the niche for you to explore. You don’t have to relearn the subject to talk about it because you are a plumber.
Then there’s the guy who tests new Hot Wheels cars and trucks on a Hot Wheels race track in his basement. He videos these races and has a half million subscribers. Of course, he promotes Hot Wheels. Race Grooves
Now you get yourself a domain name (the name you type into your browser), and an Internet hosting account. There are hundreds of registrars for domain names. If you don’t have a preference, try “Name Cheap” as I have found them to be good and as their name suggests at the lower end of costs. Your domain name will run about $10-$14 annually.
Once you have secured a domain name, you need to find hosting. A place on the Internet where you keep your website. Again, there are thousands, some good, some not so much.
Next you have to build a website. This is the only real techie area of affiliate marketing. Some people just hire a site builder to get one up so they can proceed with the real job of affiliate marketing. Some want to learn and do it themselves and some know how to build a site.
Next you go to Amazon and sign up as an affiliate. Later in your new venture you can expand your affiliations to include many other merchants if you wish. CAUTION. Don’t apply until you have your site is up and some content already on the site. It is never finished, and it may not be exactly the way you want it, and that’s OK. But it must exist and be able to be seen by the merchant before most will accept you as an affiliate.
The next job is to become a product promoter. A reviewer to many. We have several articles and instructions available on this site to help you in writing copy, reviews and general product articles. What you are trying to do is write something that solves problems with the products you are promoting.
Video is very important on the web. It attracts more viewers than text, generally speaking. So if you are not into video editing (even production), in this age of smartphones, you should learn to do reviews with video added.
Don’t be scared of video. Here’s a guy who has 300,000 people that watch his videos on YouTube. That’s a lot of subscribers built into his income stream.
Remember one thing. I already mentioned it, and that is if your reviews are not genuinely helpful, people will sense immediately that you’re just trying to make a quick buck. Write so that people can relate the product and hopefully your review will emphasis how the product can solve a particular problem.
Basically you’ve got yourself an affiliate business, ready to go, BUT one step is extremely important and I’ve left it to the end. Not because it isn’t important, but because you need to spend some time setting it up. This is CAPTURING EMAIL from your site visitors. Why? Because you can double your income by promoting through email. More on that here. For now though, just know that capturing email is important.
To do this you need OPTIN forms on your site. I use OPTINMONSTER, and there are free options such as Fancy Theme’s OPTIN FORMS WP Plugin. Plus you need a mail/autoresponder service. There are many good ones, I use MailChimp and “GETRESPONSE.COM”.

In this video, we’re going to talk about how to create call to action banner ads for less than $10-$15, and you can get them created for even $5 if you use the right sites. And I’m going to walk you through the whole process, step-by-step and this is Part 1, so let’s go ahead and get started.
First of all I want to talk about the strategies that you can use, so that you can be aware of how to use banner ads to convert people into potential buyers or potential subscribers. Now there are different high converting strategies here. you can place banner ads on your front page, or your sidebar of your WordPress site; and you can forward them to “helpful tips” that are located on the inner pages on the site; or you can have banner ads on the front page; or on the sidebar that link to some sort of special free video or report with helpful tips. And when you do this, you have the ability to get people onto your lists, or to gain people’s trust and therefore you increase the conversion rate.
You can also use banner ads to get them to call you, fill out a form; but you’ll convert higher if you give continuous value like tips and advice, and things that people would normally pay for. Try to avoid selling anything on your banner ad or you can risk losing people. People do not ads, people are very skeptical nowadays. So the best way you can approach that issue is simply by appealing to them, by gaining their trust and helping them.
So what’s on the banner ad? The title is very, very important. This is what grabs people because it’s the first thing that they see. So you need a title that expresses what’s in it for them, short and sweet. You can do something like, “The Top Five Things to Avoid” “The Top Five Things to Save Money” to save time, and prevent this and that. A lot of times “Save Time” or “Save Money” are the majority eye catchers, but if you can show people how to prevent certain things, like prevent losing a lot of money or prevent losing a lot of time. So if you can actually mix “avoid” with “save money or time” or “prevention” with “save money and time” – that can also increase your conversions as well.
Besides the title, you’re going to need to have some sort of action picture that shows people what your service is all about, what your product is all about, or some sort of action that you want them to take. So in a way, you are indirectly telling people exactly what they need to do, and if you’re looking for pictures, I’d recommend that you go to BigStockPhoto.com. Find a call to action picture that you like, it’s anywhere from $1.00-$1.50 to $2.00 per image, and it’s really, really cheap. And you’re also going to need a call to action, you’re going to need to have some sort of short blurb that says something like, “click here to” read or “click here to” watch this video, or watch this free video or call now at 1-800-XXX-XXXX to get ______. And make sure to include verbs in your call to action, verbs are actually known to actually increase the conversion rate because you’re telling people what they need to do. People don’t want to think nowadays, they just want you tell them what to do.
So you need three different things: title, action picture, and call to action. Now let’s talk about getting it designed, and I want to show you step-by-step how we’re going to go about doing this. So let’s go ahead and do this now. In this example, I’m going to be creating a banner ad for my fake website company. And let’s say for example it’s called “Columbia Roof Replacement.” And I’m going to make the title, “Top Five Ways to Maintain Your Roof” and what I’m going to do is – let’s say I make a website, once I get the banner ad I’m going to redirect people from the banner ad to a page on my site. And I’ll show you more about that in Part 2, but in this specific part, I just want to show you how to get it created. So in this case, I’ve got a logo here and I’ve got a picture.
We’re going to go to Fiverr.com to find a banner designer, but you can use any freelance site that you want, like oDesk.com or even Elance.com. I like Fiverr.com because it starts out at five bucks, you can always contact the designers, and whoever is providing the gig at the Fiverr projects and negotiate with them. Alright, so what you need to do now is to hop on over to Fiverr.com (that’s F-I-V-E-R-R.com) and at the Search box here, simply type in “banner ad” and do a search. And what we want to do now is to basically organize the ratings here, basically get the best rated at the top, and do a search from the top to the bottom.
So you can see an idea of the banner ads that are being produced, and what I normally like to do is I look at this, and I open this in a brand new window. So I’m going to open this one, this one, this one, this one, and you can see that they’re top rated sellers here. I want to find people that can make good designs. So I’ve opened up six tabs here, I’ve got this person here – I really like these banner ads, these are really, really professional banner ads. Considering it is three days estimated wait time, you get two different sizes for $5.00 and you get the complete .psd files – normally I like to get the complete Photoshop files. That way you can do some editing if I choose to do so. And you can also get three more sizes for your banner ads and so forth.
What I try to do is I try to find people who can actually design, who have a good designing eye. So I look at all their banner ads, and see if it adds up, because, I mean no matter where you go to, you know people can use other people’s banner ads. But what you’re trying to figure out here – is there a similarity or some sort of pattern between all of these banner ads to make sure that this person is legit. So from what I see, this person is legit. And we’ve got this person; I don’t really like this person’s banner ads, so I’m going to move to the next person. And I’m just picking myself, so I like this person’s banner ads as well, but it’s 12 days, I don’t want to wait 12 days, so I’m going to close this person down. This person has decent banner ads; okay, not too good, not what I’m looking for. And basically look through all of these, and I think what I’m going to go with is this Jimmy Gibbs guy. And as I’m creating this video, you know by the time you’re watching this video, this guy could be here or he could be gone. So the reason why I wanted to show this to you is, instead of directing you to a specific person, it’s just so that you can go to Fiverr and actually find somebody who will do a good job.
So what you need to do now is to create an account if you don’t already have one. So I’m going to sign in, and okay let’s see here, so what kind of options does he have? He has….okay so what I’m going to get is, I’m going to get the original $5.00 order, but I also want a call to action. It says “I will add a call to action button, click here or learn more on your banners for an extra $5.00” so, I’m just going to pay $10 to this guy and get some banner ads done. And as you can see, you can request specific standard sizes, because if the “click here” or the “watch this video” call to action is a button, that really helps because then people will feel like, “okay I click this right here.” even though that whole link is hyperlinked. So let me go ahead and purchase this person’s gig, and I’ll walk you through the whole process.
Okay so I went ahead and purchased this gig from Jimmy Gibbs, and as you can see here, he requires the following. So what they’re going to do is they’re going to ask you for the title, the image, the sizes and the call to action button. So once you give this information and the logo, I decided to go with the logo; let’s take a look at what he’ll produce. So within three days, I’m going to re-pause this video and we’ll see what he produces!
Alright great, so it took about two days. Instead of three days it was two days, so he did it fairly quickly, and as you can see here, we got several banner ads that were created, and a call to action button here. And this is really cool, I like this, this looks really good. So there we go, and we got the files here, so we can go ahead and download these files and we’re going to use them. So as you can see, very, very easy to do – all this for ten bucks, and now in the next video, I’m going to show you how to add it to your WordPress site!
Google, and the other web browsers have fully implemented the Not Secure statement in the URL bar on your website. Plus in many cases, they splash a large red SITE IS NOT SECURE message which also says, STAY SAFE-BACK OUT OF THE SITE.

No matter what type of email you send out, you’ll need a mailing list. The basic way to build a mailing list is by capturing name and email address information for everyone who visits your website, buys or shows interest in your product.
An email list that YOU COLLECT YOURSELF is worth its weight in gold. This can be accomplished by using a list manager on your site. List managers also provide the HTML coding for the form on the Gateway pages. A list manager collects the email addresses that are gathered with the form. Thus, your email list is collected. This might take some time so there are methods to use until you get your own email list built.

1) Don’t send traffic to the vendor’s page through your affiliate link. You’ll be wasting a great opportunity. Before you send the traffic off to the vendor’s page, email capture page. then once they sign up or not (you must give them the option to not sign up), them to your affiliates page.
If you just send your traffic directly to the vendor’s page, 95+ percent of the traffic will be wasted. Worst case is you sent the traffic, but the vendor’s sales letter doesn’t make the sales, you lose both commission and the chance to get the person to buy something else. Another thing is that the vendor gets to grow the email list, but not you; even though you may earn the commission as an affiliate.
2) The next problem is how to collect the visitors’ emails? Use squeeze page!
Direct your readers to your squeeze page first before sending them to the vendor’s page, you can create a win-win situation with just this.
Squeeze page is a page to collect the name and email of the visitors. You can collect the emails of your visitors, and at the same time earn the commission from the vendor. I suggest you provide a gift in return for their email. Make sure it’s relevant to the overall offer.
3) The format of a squeeze page is simple, include an attractive headline, big red arrow and an opt-in form.
The best color choices for the headline will be dark red or black. It must be able to give a teaser of the product they may purchase later.
4) Put a big red arrow in the middle of your headline and opt-in form to lead them to fill in the form. It is important to catch the attention of the readers, the big arrow pointing to the opt-in form will lead their gaze to the opt-in form, hence increase the conversion rate. The opt-in form should have an orange or yellow button because these two colors have been tested and help to increase conversion rates.
5) After the opt-in form is completed, you redirect the traffic to the vendor’s page through your affiliate link, or you can redirect the traffic to your bonus or review page first before the vendor’s page. This way, you can build your credibility and hence keep the subscribers with you.
